AMBOHIMANGA : « The blue hill and the cultural riches of Talata Volonondry »
This tour will lead you to discover Ambatomanga and Talata Volonondry, a site provided with cultural and historical patrimony. This two days combined tour in the North of the capital takes you to discover original activities in order to better understand the many historical remains and the cultural specificities of a same region.
This excursion begins in Talata Volonondry with the discovery of the famous craftsmen of the village and then Ambohimanga wich called « the blue hill ». Many places are full of history and symbols such as the royal place, the ancient villages and the old tombs.

Itinerary
Visit artisanal manufacturing sites, explore historical and cultural sites, and discover the most beautiful landscapes of the Analamanga region.
Departure of Antananarivo and on the way to the North of the capital. We start with the guide a morning discovery of Talata Volonondry ‘s village, the Koba manufacturing workshop making a traditional wrapped in banana leaves prepared with weath ,pistachio and sugar.
Then we continue by the visit of an artisanal silk manufacturing workshop a noble and precious fabric occupying an important place in the Malagasy culture. Free lunch , at the end of the afternoon, installation and night in a charming hotel in Ambohimanga.
Departure from the hotel to visit the historic famous site of Ambohimanga, already classified as a UNESCO world heritage site : the historic site of Mangabe with the tomb of Andriantsivongo witch was the being the king soothsayer, and Amboantany little known places preserving the palace of an former king of Imerina. In the afternoon, visit of the royal palace of Ambohimanga. Picnic lunch. Back to Antananarivo.
